Hello from Khlung, from a rattly, imprecise keyboard and a very slow internet connection. I too, am slow, because we put in two long days (100 k and 90 k, respectively). I am brimming with rich stories and luscious pictures, but they must wait until a computer which won't choke after trying to load my blog.
Tillman: hi! Thanks for your comments! I did not sleep in toilet. Good point about the light in there, though, BoD.
We've been biking in a swelter of heat and gummy humidity. It's astonishing what the human body will do with plenty of water and some sugar. Today we passed orchards (orchards? stands?) of rubber trees. More sugar cane. Then some hot little climbs to views about the ocean. Then cruising on country roads next to the ocean, all teal, oh how glorious that was.
The mini-fridge in our guest house tonight is neon purple.
I cannot move the cursor on this computer--thus please excuse the unorganized form of this. Mom and Lindsay: glad you're mapping around with me! But about those little blue ones, Lindsay, I'm afraid that what holds true about a lot of Thailand for me holds true now: I simply do not know.
Tomorrow we bike to Trat, which should have a much less frustrating internet experience and I'll post again.
The best thing I ate today was a little folded triangle of banana leaves: unwrapped it contained some lightly sweet sticky rice and a few sweetened beans. It still had char marks on it and was delicious.

Are you going to take some rest days? Is the terrain mostly flat or hilly?
Mom
Yeah.....a little beach time. Eating those little squid on the stick, with that hot sauce.
